As the great Wikipedia says: “Brave is a web browser An open-source Chromium-based application created by Brave Software in 2016, founded by Brendan Eich, co-founder of the Mozilla Project (the Firefox browser) and creator of JavaScript. As of 2019, Brave has been released for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.
When this browser was released, many users were skeptical of its power and the many benefits it offers, such as earning cryptocurrency with its use, installing Google Chrome extensions, creating multiple profiles, or being faster than other browsers.
Little by little, Brave gained popularity primarily because it allows users to earn money from using it, something its competitors don't allow. Thanks to this, users began to learn about the many other benefits of this browser. They've even improved the Chromium codebase to the point that today Brave competes with giants like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Opera.

But not everything is rosy, as this browser doesn't have the native translator that other browsers have. The same one that allows you to translate by right-clicking on any website and selecting the option. But that's no longer true. You can install the official Google Translate extension and use it in Brave, but while it may seem like a good solution, it's not the same. Ultimately, what we want is to translate the same way we used to. But for your convenience, you can read the following:
FilipePS and the Traduzir project for Brave
Software developer FilipePS designed a wonderful extension that allows you to use Google Translate in Brave or any Chromium-based browser and Firefox. This extension is called Translate and includes the native translation engines for Google Chrome and Yandex. We'll show you how to install it.
- Head over to the GitHub website and make sure download the file by locating yourself in the “How to install on Chromium-based browsers” session and clicking on the “Download this file” link.
- Unzip the folder on your PC (Save it in a safe location where you can't delete it).
- Go to your Brave browser and click the options context menu (in the top right corner). Then, select the Extensions option.
- Click on the “Development Mode” option (in the top right corner) and then click on the “Upload Unzipped” button.
- Select the folder you unzipped when you downloaded the extension from the GitHub repository and click the “Select Folder” button.
When you install this extension, it will open the options menu, where you can adjust the interface to your liking (I personally recommend leaving everything as is). Then, go to a website in any language other than your own, right-click, select the "Translate to Spanish" option, and that's it.
To return to the original language, right-click again and select the “Show Original” option. If you use Firefox or browsers based on it, you can install the extension directly from the website of Mozilla Addons and/or continue This series of steps To do this from any Android device, visit the following website.
