The recent CinemaCon<\/strong> celebrated this year reminded us that studios still know how to manipulate our emotions on a grand scale. And the truth is, behind the flashing cameras and rehearsed smiles of the stars, there is a pitched battle for our attention and our money.<\/p>\n

Clockwork\u201c is born: The indie lifeline<\/h4>\n

In a masterful move to avoid alienating the niche audience, Warner announced the creation of Clockwork<\/em>. This new label will operate as its independent distribution arm, competing directly with behemoths like Searchlight. Its first major release for 2027? None other than TI AMO!, the sequel to Sean Baker's acclaimed Anora. Plus, they gave us a quick glimpse of upcoming projects, like a prequel to Ocean's<\/i> set in 1962 with Margot Robbie.<\/p>\n
