Nowadays the most used application to stay in touch with our friends and family is WhatsApp. However, unlike Facebook, anyone we add to our contacts can see our statuses or profile picture. Today we'll teach you how to hide your profile picture and statuses without blocking anyone.
Whether you want to post a fun photo and only want your contacts to see it, or you want to upload an image or video to your status and exclude certain people. WhatsApp allows us to restrict our visibility to our contacts.
These days, it's very important that we protect our privacy. We tend to share a lot of information about our personal lives on social media. That's why today we're showing you how to restrict sharing information on WhatsApp with certain contacts.
Show or Block Photo
The first thing we must do is press the three vertical dots that appear at the top right of the application. When you do this, a window appears with several options, one of which is Settings.

When we select Settings, we enter the following window. In it we choose the option of Account (Privacy, security, change number). It is distinguished by the icon of a key.

Then, on the next screen, a variety of options appear to select. We will choose Privacy, this has the icon in the shape of a closed padlock.

Then, being in this window of Privacy, several options will also appear. The two options we are interested in are displayed on the screen. For now, we will select Profile Photos.

This way, a window appears with the options of Everyone, My contacts and nobody. It is worth noting if we place My contacts, only the contacts you have saved on your phone will be able to see the photo. If we choose Nobody, none of the people with the application will see our image.

Display or Restrict Status
For restrict our status, we carry out the same procedure, starting with the three vertical dots, to Privacy windowIn it, we select the option of State. Thus, we enter the Status Privacy, where the options are displayed My contacts, My contacts except… and only share with…

When selecting My contacts Except either just share with, another window appears. In which we can mark the records recorded on the smartphone, selecting the circle on the right side with the person's name.

As you can see, it is super easy to restrict the profile picture and that of the statuses. Also, remember that we previously also explained how to make a backup of the app. Let us know. Was this brief explanation of how to do it helpful? What other suggestions do you have?
