Many of us movie fans remember Rocky as an unforgettable legend of cinematic boxing, but little did we know about the scandal that occurred behind the scenes of one of these shocking films.
Going back to the origin we tell you that Rocky is a saga of American films A sports drama series that launched in 1976, with the first installment being a huge box office hit, and which became so popular that it is now a pop culture icon. One of the most memorable films in the franchise is Rocky IV (1986) which was one of the most successful in theaters.
The plot takes place in the middle of the Cold War, with a boxing match between the two main characters representing the United States and the former Soviet Union., while parallel visions of the competitors are narrated.
On one hand, there's Rocky, who moves to a very cold area to train for combat, with rudimentary training and no technology. On the other hand, Ivan Drago (played by Dolph Lundgren), Rocky's opponent, had all the latest technology for his training.
Like the previous Rocky installments, this film manages to connect with audiences who aren't as keen on boxing, but they even find the story to be enjoyable, thanks to the message of perseverance that runs throughout the saga.
Now then, You might be wondering why Sylvester Stallone ended up in intensive care after being punched by Dolph Lundgren. which almost ended the film and the rest of the saga. We'll tell you about it below.
A blow that was almost fatal for Stallone in the role of Rocky

The incident occurred on the first day of filming. Sylvester Stallone wanted to add a touch of realism to the fights in the film. That's why he suggested they film some fight scenes and told Lundgren to give him a real punch, not a soft one.
At the insistence of Hollywood star Dolf Lundgren, he threw a punch with all his might, and although Stallone admits it was hard, at the time he didn't feel bad or give it much thought.
Hours later, After finishing filming, the protagonist of Rocky was getting ready to rest when, to his surprise, he began to feel ill.The pain was so severe that he had to be transferred from Canada to a hospital in California.
Stallone's remarks in the Making of Rocky vs. Drago movie were: "The first thing we filmed was my entrance, his entrance, and the introductions, and then I got injured during the fight and they had to rush me to intensive care from Canada to California."

He continued, “Well, it pulverized me. And I didn't feel it at the time, but later that night my heart started to swell. My blood pressure went up to 260, and I was talking to angels. The next thing I know, I'm on a low-altitude emergency flight. I'm in intensive care surrounded by nuns, and after that, I had to come back and finish the fight.”
We imagine the following recordings were of weak shots, because who would think of sending Dolf Lundgren, who's almost two meters tall, to throw his best shot? Yes, only Sylvester Stallone.
Well, due to the blow, the Hollywood boxing legend suffered cardiomegaly, which could have led to a heart attack, but which was avoided thanks to the immediate attention of intensive care. A happy ending, after all.
A rather chilling anecdote, as Stallone almost passed away., so we wouldn't have enjoyed so many other good films made by this actor, who thought twice before demanding more realism in his next releases, at least not without the supervision of a doctor at the studio.
